Admissions

As part of the California State University system, Cal State San Bernardino applies the same academic standards to all students who apply for admission, but the CSU system has made a special initiative to invite veterans and active duty military.

Servicemembers and veterans are encouraged to seek help from admissions counselors for guidance through the admissions process. Note that Admissions and Student Recruitment accepts students to the university only. Admission to specific programs such as ROTC may have separate or additional requirements and documentation that are handled by those offices directly.

Like non-military students, veterans and active military should identify their class level (freshman, transfer, graduate/credential), review requirements for that level, and identify any potential academic credits that may transfer to CSUSB or aid in acceptance.

Application for admission to Cal State San Bernardino is enabled though the CSU Mentor online system. Students can use this form to apply to any CSU campus. Applicants may start and save a partially completed form, and complete the form or update the information before submitting the application. Interested students can apply at CSUmentor or visit the CSUSB Admissions webpage for complete information on how to apply to the university.

CSUSB staff is glad to help with the application process. Send your questions to an admissions counselor by e-mailing moreinfo@csusb.edu. You will get an e-mail response within five business days.
